Take one step at a time

I really do have high expectations of what I do. My expectations are unrealistic and too lofty. I want to do something and excel in it but I want it to happen quickly but everything takes time. I may not be as excellent as others but I’m average to some extent, having received encouraging and uplifting opinions from others. I’m too hard on myself because I’m not getting the recognition I would like to get. I’m belittling myself! Everyone else sees the potential in me even thought I don’t. I’m searching elsewhere, going beyond the starting point by taking long strides instead of making baby steps.  I’m willing start over, keep my mind focused on particular goals and work hard to achieve them and take my time along the way.
